Matthew 6:19-20
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves do not break through nor steal:"
"Let The Earthly Treasures Go!"
Why work so hard to hang onto things that won't last and things that don't bring true joy?
Only treasures in the Kingdom of God will last into eternity.
These treasures the devil cannot steal or tarnish!

Lord Jesus I thank You for the real treasure of eternal life.
Please help me to live every day of this new year as though it were my last.

Romans 12:9

We are much better off showing love rather than saying love.
You don't have to tell someone you love them when you show it.
See evil for what it is. Sometimes pleasurable for a short time then it leads to death.
Hold on to good things which come right out of the Word of God.
These things are love, peace, longsuffering, patience, generosity and the list goes on...

Lord Jesus I want to love like You loved and still love.
I hate evil and I ask You to continue to allow me to see it for the malignancy that it is.

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce,
despisers of those that are good,
Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
from such turn away.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses,
and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."
"Be Real In The Lord And Leave The Worldly Things Alone!"
Tough times are here and the world is giving itself over to whatever it feels like doing.
Many of these will not fear God the way they should until it's too late.
Take heed and hear what the Spirit is saying in these verses and don't allow yourself
to be like the world because the cost could be your soul.
We cannot afford to only hear the Word of God but are required to do it in spite of our feelings.

Hate should not be part of our vocabulary and it should not be in our hearts.
If you have hatred in you, God will forgive you if you forgive those you have hard feelings towards.
We are children of the light and hatred is of the darkness.
Take time to allow God to remove any hatred or malice and be free!

Because we are human we tend to fail people even when we don't mean to.
Don't focus on those who have failed you but put your trust in God alone.
He is the only One that can say He will never leave you nor forsake you.
He is the only One that is never wrong.
When you do listen to people, make sure they have evidence that they live
by the Word of God and have a prayer life.

Not only do you not have to be afraid but you are commanded not to be afraid.
It is inevitable that heavy or trying things will come but you need not ever fear because God is with you.
Trust in the Lord with your whole heart and put fear in its place.

In Matthew 7:21 Jesus said:

"Only Those Who Do God's Will Make It To Heaven."
Be sure to understand that only those who obey God make it to the Kingdom of Heaven.
The issue of obedience is huge and needs to be taken very seriously because your eternity is effected.
Take time to study God's Word and to know His voice so that you can do what He commands.
It is hard to obey someone that you're not listening to.
Remember there is only one truth and only the truth will last after life.

In Mark 11:25-26 Jesus says:
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
"Forgiveness Is The Key To Being Forgiven"
Forgiveness is giving up the right to make someone pay (revenge) for what they've done against you.
While you may continue to feel the sting of being wronged, forgiveness is a decision.
Forgiveness releases you and helps you to move on.
Don't dwell on how someone has hurt you but think about how God has been merciful to you!

In Mark 12:30 Jesus Says:
"And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment."
"God Wants Every Part of You!"
Notice that Jesus says that "you shall" love God with all you've got.
This is not a request, but a command. It is up to you to obey.
We are called to be "sold out" and not selfish or self reliant.
Also notice that this is the FIRST commandment signifying that it is very important.
This command comes from the One who put breath in your body and has numbered your days.

I want to know Your ways and to please You so that You can tel me "well done."

In Matthew 7:12 Jesus says"
"Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you,
do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
"Do For Someone What You Would Want Done For You!"
Because of our sinful nature it's easy to be selfish and to think that it's all about us.
Jesus is saying to do for others what you would have others to do for you.
It goes even deeper, because Jesus wants you to do this for your good as well as for the good of others.
How? The Word of God also tells us that whatever we plant, we will harvest.
The good things that you do for others will come back as blessings straight to you!
Look at serving someone as an opportunity to share God's Kingdom and as an opportunity
to plant good seeds that you can expect a harvest from!

Lord Jesus I ask Your precious Holy Spirit to remind me of opportunities I have to be a blessing.
I ask You to help me to do these things with a pure heart and not just to be seen.

There is no question that the way of a sinner is very hard and ends up bad.
Jesus says that once you've been born again, begin to learn about Him and His Word.
When you understand what He spoke, then He says to do what His Word commands you to do.
The pathway Jesus is leading you to will give you peace and rest.
His way is easiest. He only asks you to do whatever He commands you.
He won't command you to do something that you are not able to do.
Stay willing and obedient and stay blessed!

Don't only apologize to God, but to your parents and change your behavior.
Honoring your earthly parents is a way to honor your Heavenly Father.
Honoring your parents is not only a good thing to do, but is also a commandment.
