Matthew 5:14
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick;
and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father which is in heaven."
Don't Forget Who You Are!
Even sometimes now, I have to be reminded that I am a light to everyone I come into contact with.
Because of the sinful nature of my flesh, it is easy to do things that diminish the light that is in me.
There are so many around me that are perishing, that I cannot afford to have "off" days.
Let us gladly be reminded that we belong to God because Jesus paid such a terrible price for us.
Let everyone know, especially by your attitude and actions that we are sons/daughters of the Most High God.
Remember that we are not of this world, we are just in it.
Think about what your light must look like to someone who is in total chaos and darkness!
Let's Pray (Always pray out loud if you can)
Lord Jesus, I ask You to remind me this day and every day that I am Yours and You are mine.
Let me be a vessel of honor that displays Your love, Your power and Your glory.
I bring my flesh under subjection to Your Word and put on a mind to obey Your every command.
Holy Spirit, please help me to remember that I effect my friends and family with the words I use.
I resist all temptations that come from the enemy.
