Ecclesiastes 7:9

"Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools."

When Anger Comes, Be Quick to Let it Go!

It is not a sin to be angry and anger will sometimes come,

but God's Word tells us not to sin when anger does show up.

This scripture tells us that it is foolish to hold on to anger and

encourages us not to let anger be our first reaction.

Anger can blemish our testimony if we are not careful.

Your peers will have a harder time hearing God's Word from you if you are angry a lot.

Today make up your mind to pray through anger and to be slow to speak when it shows up.

God WILL help you and the results will be amazing!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and I pray for your help in this area of anger.

Please teach me how to reject anger when it comes and how to choose the path of peace.

I rebuke the spirit of anger in my life and will allow the joy of the Lord to rule in my life.

Ephesians 4:22 -24

"That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man,

which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
And that ye put on the new man,

which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness."

Remember Who You Are!

Be very careful not to be deceived by your enemy by listening to what the world has to say.

The core of your thought life should be on things above and on the Word of God.

The Word of God is the only word that will lead you to eternal life.

As your mind is transformed by the Word of God, your speech will change.

Make a deliberate decision every day to leave the way you used to talk alone.

You have been made new but your flesh still remembers the old ways and wants to come back to life.

Remember that your flesh needs to die every day which means we can't say everything that comes to mind.

Ask the Lord to renew your mind on a daily basis in prayer and think on His Word.

You will never look back and regret putting on the new man!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and I ask You to renew my mind right here and now.

You saved me from my sin and I choose to stay far from the old life I used to live.

I choose right now to walk in the new man and to be a light in a very dark world.

I resist all of the lies of the enemy.

Ephesians 4:31-32

"Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour,

and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."

Put Bitterness Away and Take on Love!

Because we live in these fleshly bodies, it can be easy to get bitter and run our mouths into a mess.

It takes practice, but God's Word tells us to demonstrate the traits of love to ALL those around us.

Forgiveness may not seem natural but it frees you from all sorts of bondage and wars.

Forgiveness means that you are not going to seek punishment from someone who did you wrong.

Jesus was the ultimate example of forgiveness in that He died for the very people that were putting Him to death!

We are most miserable when we hold on to anger and revenge and God's Word frees us from that.

Make a deliberate effort to forgive and not to seek revenge even when your feelings tell you different.

Walk in the freedom that Jesus gave you and don't allow the destroyer to take it away from you!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and I forgive my enemies like You forgave me.

I release and reject anger and cast it far from me and I will watch over what I say.

I will not act on impulse but will be prayerful in all matters.

Jesus, I belong to You and I love You and want to be more like You.

Rom 12:19-21

"Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath:

for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink:

for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good."

Revenge Does Not Belong To You!

Let's say it like the Word means it. Payback does not belong to you. It belongs to God!

Don't waste valuable time, energy and resources trying to get someone back.

Instead, love your enemy, take care of him, do good to him.

Don't let evil over power you, but conquer evil by doing what is right.

Doing what is right doesn't always feel good at first but it leaves no regrets.

The Lord will take care of your enemies, so you don't have to!

Remember God loves your enemies too!

Do this God's way and receive the blessings and benefits that others miss!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and I put my enemies in Your hands.

I ask You to heal my hurt and give me compassion like You have for them.

Let the Light of Your Love shine through me, even in bad times.

I resist the urge to get someone back and I choose to forgive.

Luke 9:23

"And he said to them all,

If any man will come after me, let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily, and follow me."

Dying Daily

Jesus is letting us know that our walk with Him must be daily.

We must continue to say "no" to our flesh, pray and feed our Spirit the Word of God.

God is not looking for Sunday Christians but those who love Him with everything always.

God is looking for those who won't act on every impulse but will acknowledge Him

in everything they do and say.

Our flesh would love to have control but it will lead us to separation from God.

Challenge yourself to pray before you do even the little things today.

Don't walk according to your feelings but according to what God's Word says!

As you know, you will never regret doing it God's way!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and surrender my will to You in exchange for Your will.

Be Lord of every aspect of my life and please remind me when I need to say "no" to me.

When I see You face to face I want you to say "well done, my good and faithful servant!"

James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Don't Get Upset When You Are Tempted!

Multiple temptations are a clear sign that you are on the right path!

Remember that you are not tempted by God, but by the devil himself.

Remember to resist the devil and he will run from you.

Remember he may come back, so resist him again!

As you continue to resist temptation, you will become stronger, developing patience.

Patience will lead you to a place where you are perfectly content with what you have!

Be all about the God life. It's the only way to live!

"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion,

walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"

Be Humble and Watchful!

It is so important to be humble and aware that you are in continuous need of God's help.

The enemy of your soul is looking for opportunities not just to trip you up, but to destroy you.

Give Jesus all of your cares because He can handle them and will warn you of satan's tricks.

Remaining humble is the best way to get promotion that comes only from God.

When God promotes you, no man can take it away.

I give you my cares, struggles and pains that try to get me off course.

I put my complete trust in You because I recognize that You are all powerful.

Mark 8:35-38

"For whosoever will save his life shall lose it;

but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed,

when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."

A Warning from Jesus Himself

We are seeing clearly that people are trading in their salvation for the things of this world.

If that is you, wake up! Jesus is coming back soon and He is coming for a church that is ready.

What will a person have gained if he has riches and fame but loses his soul?

Is there any thing you hold higher than your relationship with Jesus?

You can answer this question by asking yourself what you think about the most.

Jesus is saying here that we must leave the world behind and live our lives sold out to him.

Many have lost and will lose their souls over the petty junk that the world has to offer.

Always be willing to do things God's way over your own and you will live eternally!

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and humble myself in Your sight.

I put you first in everything today and ask You to order my steps in all things.

I resist the spirit of pride and selfishness and lay my life down for Your sake.

Philippians 3:13-14
"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do,

forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Leave the Past in the Past!

Don't live your life in regret of your past but continue reaching to the new life that is set in front of you.

God did not intend you to live in guilt but made you free from that kind and every other kind of bondage.

Be excited about where the Lord has brought you from and look forward to where you are going!

You have inherited eternal life and your past has been forgiven!

God is not finished with you yet and He WILL complete what He began in you.

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and thank you for forgiving me of my past.

Please cleanse and renew my mind today and order every one of my steps.

I let go of my past and give You my future.

If You're Breathing, Praise Him!

God is good, awesome, mighty, omnipotent and worthy of every bit of praise you can give Him.

No matter what you are going through, our God deserves the highest praise always.

Take time throughout the day to tell Him how awesome He is.

Acts 1:8

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:

and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem,

and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

The Holy Ghost Will Empower You!

Before Jesus left the earth the last thing he let us know is that the Holy Ghost will come and give us power.

We are not capable of keeping ourselves in right standing with God without His help.

The Holy Ghost, also known as the Holy Spirit or Comforter will teach us and guide us into all truth.

The Holy Spirit will enable you to know Jesus as He is and will give you power over sin.

The Holy Spirit is never wrong, is always on time, will never leave you and will live in you.

Ask Jesus to fill you with the Holy Spirit if you haven't already.

When asking to be filled with the Holy Spirit be willing to wait on Him.

He will do it right where you are right now.

Please wash me in Your blood and fill me with Your Holy Ghost.

"Quench not the Spirit."

Don't Ignore The Holy Ghost!

If you choose to have spiritual ears, you will find that the Holy Spirit will speak often to you.

This scripture warns us not to shut out His voice and ignore Him because it grieves Him.

The Holy Spirit will speak to You to guide you to something better than you would have guided yourself to.

The Holy Ghost is never wrong and will never mislead you.

Take time out of your day to acknowledge the Lord in everything and listen for His voice.

You will never look back and regret hearing and obeying the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Lord Jesus, I commit my life to You today and You to give me ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying.

I will listen for Your voice and when I hear You, I will also obey You.

I will not be stubborn or ignore Your voice.

1Thessalonians 5:5-6

"Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober."

Stay Spiritually Awake!

Because of the sinful nature of our flesh it can be easy to fall asleep spiritually.

If we don't exercise and feed our spirit man it will begin to get sick and weak like our natural man.

Many who call themselves Christians (which means to be like Christ) don't separate themselves from the world.

The world is full of darkness and they that live after the flesh (selfish desires) love the darkness.

We, however are children of God and we are clearly different than the rest of the world.

If we blend in with the rest of the world we are not His children.

This verse reminds us of who we are and that we are not of the night but of the day.

We are not to be in love with worldly things and worldly ways.

Every day we have to decide how we are going to live.

Stay awake and be led by the Word of God and the voice of the Holy Spirit!

Enjoy the blessings and peace that only the children of Light have!

Please order my steps today and give me ears to hear Your voice so I can obey You.

I am not in love with the world and I intentionally set my mind on things above.

"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,

having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.

And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

Leave Sin Alone!

Iniquity is a wicked act or a sin habit.

God set us free from things things and we have to daily choose to stay free.

We can stay free by constantly bathing ourselves in the Word of God.

Make a deliberate daily effort to put the Word of God and prayer first in your life.

Remember that old things have passed away and all things have become new.

I thank You for delivering me from my past and giving me a new life.

I commit my life to You afresh today and give You access to all of me.

I belong to You and I choose to live like it.

I resist every scheme of the devil and commit to live out Your Word daily.

"Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace,

with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

Run and Don't Look Back!

Run away from things that try to attract you in an ungodly way.

The enemy of your soul never stops trying to bait you in with something that looks good on the outside.

I have seen fish who have been caught by a lure be attracted to the same lure and caught again.

The wages (or pay check) for sin will never change. It will always be death.

When it comes to lust it is important to know how to leave quickly before you give in.

Don't stand there and stare at the lure!

Continuously follow God's Word and listen for His voice to keep you in right standing with Him.

Don't be tricked into forgetting that You are a servant of the Most High God.

Surround yourself with things that produce love and peace and acknowledge God always!

I belong to You and I want to please You with all that is within me.

I do not want to be attached to the things of this world and I call on You right now.

Take all of me and use me any way You choose. I trust in You.

Please remind me when it is time to run!

How to Get To God

Jesus is the only way to get to God and to the Kingdom of Heaven.

When you pray, pray in the name of Jesus and your prayers will have power.

What Jesus said is the absolute truth and His Word will never pass away.

Jesus is the life and without Him there is only death (which means separation from God).

Study the words of Jesus and follow every one of His commandments and you will have eternal life.

There is no other name whereby we can be saved.

Never be ashamed of the name of Jesus, but use His name boldly.

There is power in the name of Jesus!

Also, think about this:

If you were in a plane that was crashing, whose name would you call?

Precious Jesus, You are Lord, Savior and King of every King.

Be the Lord and King of my life and I will live unashamed for You.

I receive Your wisdom, renewal, instruction, direction and correction today.
