To be a true young servant of God it is best to simply run away from certain desires.
If you know in your heart that something is wrong and can lead to sin it is best to get away from it.
Follow righteousness, which is right standing with God and His Word.
Follow faith which is believing what God has said in His Word, even when you can't see or feel it.
Follow charity, which is love, not as the world loves, but as the Bible teaches us.
Follow peace with all men, especially your brothers and sisters in the faith.
Some times you will have to tell yourself no, but it is worth it!
Choose carefully what kind of people you spend time with.

Lord Jesus, I commit right now to do what Your Word instructs me to do concerning my flesh.

So many people try to gain knowledge to impress people. Let us impress our God!

The coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is closer than ever before.
This scripture tells us about the times we are living in today.
It tells how people will love worldly things more than the things of God.
We see so much disobedience to parents that it has become common.
We see so many lies and those who openly make fun of those who believe in God Almighty.
We see perversion, bragging, selfishness and outrageous pride like never before.
We also see religious people who mimic godliness but don't have any power.
We as God's children need not be afraid because the Lord and His angels are with us.
We do however, need to be careful not to keep company with those who choose ungodliness.

Lord Jesus, I surrender all of me and all that I am to You.
I understand that these are destructive times, but I will not be afraid because You are with me.
I receive Your commandments, Your wisdom, Your Peace, Your love and Your joy.
I am a bold soldier in Your army and I am more than a conqueror.
I break the spirit of fear and I stand on the Word of God.

Having charity means to show love to everyone unconditionally like Jesus did (and does) for us.

This is plain and simple and the sign of real spiritual maturity (perfectness).

Do the words that come from your lips sound like a follower of Jesus?
If you have been born again, then holiness is a requirement, not a request.
God will never require you to do something that is impossible for you to do.
Seeking God's voice and getting a daily understanding of His Word will equip you to be holy.

There is a benefit for you when you forgive, love, bless and do good to them that do you wrong.
Jesus isn't telling you to be a punching bag, but He is telling you how to be blessed and have peace.
As you mature you will find that you sometimes have to ignore the irritation people can cause.
Don't allow your mind or the devil to play over and over what someone has done to wrong you.
You are the one that will be made free when you do right even when you've been done wrong.
There is a reward far greater than money for those who live out what Jesus said!

Lord Jesus, I have been done wrong and it hurts, but I release my problems to You.
No problem that I is too difficult and You are greater than any situation that comes to harm me.

So many people think that Jesus was a good man who lived and died a long time ago and that's it.
This same Jesus you just read about did die, but He rose again and is alive and well today.
This same Jesus will say "I will" if you invite Him into your life today.
If you are unclean or struggling with an addiction, just the presence of Jesus will send darkness running.
I urge you to try Him, to trust Him and to believe what He says.
Find out for yourself that Jesus is real!

"You Will Surely Change the World Around You With Compassion!"
To have compassion means to be consciously aware of the needs
and hurts others to the point of being moved to do doing something about it.
This week allow the Holy Spirit to make you acutely aware of needs and hurts around you.
Your actions of compassion will most certainly change the atmosphere around you.
The very least you can do for those in need is to pray for them even if they don't know it.
Let compassion become part of your character. It will require practice but a worthwhile outcome!

Lord Jesus, I want to be more like You by having compassion for those around me.
I want this to become part of my everyday life and not a temporary whim.
I ask Your Holy Spirit to show me ways I can have compassion this week.

The Lord showed me the other day that distasteful and dirty talking come from an unclean heart.
Remember that every word that you say is being recorded and will be judged on the day of judgment.
As we mature in the things of God, we learn that not everything is worth saying.
Is what you are saying true, does it bring life, will it help, is it necessary and productive?
It was said when I was young and needs to be said today. "Think before you speak."

Colossians 3:23-24
"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance:
for ye serve the Lord Christ."
"Your Eternal Reward Comes From God and God Alone!"
It is so important to remember why you are here and who it is you serve.
You will receive a reward when you leave this earth and it comes only from God.
Remember to put your time in learning how to please God by knowing and doing His Word.
Let's Pray (always pray out loud if you can).
Lord Jesus, what I do today I will do it with all of my heart as unto you.
I ask You to remind me by Your Holy Spirit that I should do all things as unto You.
I receive a spirit of excellence and will follow Your instructions as You lead me.

Colossians 3:25
"But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done:
and there is no respect of persons."
"Doing Wrong Does Not Come Without Consequences."
When you are tempted remember that it never God that tempts you to do wrong.
When you are presented with a thought of doing wrong you always have a choice to do right.
While it may not be entertaining to hear, it is imperative to know that wrong doesn't go unpunished.
Think about everything you do before you do it and do what you know to do and don't do what you know not to do.
Let's Pray (always pray out loud if you can).
Lord Jesus, it is my soul's desire to please you and I ask for Your help on a daily basis.
I open my spirit to hear Your voice remind me throughout the day that I have a choice to do what is right.
I resist being self-willed and choose the will of my Father which is in Heaven.
